This Privacy Policy explains how IKON Community™ ("we," "us," "the Platform"), operated in connection with European International University Paris (EIU-Paris) and IKON SKILLS™, collects, uses, and protects information about Practitioners who use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information

• Your name, email address, and Practitioner ID
• Profile photo and About Me description, if provided
• Social media links you choose to add

Platform Activity

• Posts, comments, hearts, and direct messages you send through Connect
• Your answers and results from the Profiling assessment
• Micro-Credentials and job listings you favorite or view
• IKON Challenge game activity, scores, and streaks
• Leaderboard points and engagement history

Technical Information

• Login activity and session data, for security purposes
• General usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the Platform

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate core features: Connect, News, Profiling, Placement, Analytics, and IKON Challenge
• To match you with relevant Micro-Credentials and Degree pathways based on your Profiling results
• To send you notification emails you've opted into (direct messages, Connect activity digests, News/Placement digests, Profiling results)
• To maintain community safety through our civility and content moderation systems
• To communicate important account or security information

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Information may be shared:

• With EIU-Paris and IKON SKILLS™, as affiliated organizations operating this Platform
• When you choose to enroll in a Micro-Credential or Degree, which redirects you to the relevant external ikonskills.ac page
• Publicly, when you choose to post on the Connect wall, join a Group, or share a game result — this content is visible to other Practitioners (or publicly, for shared game results)
• With our email service provider, solely to deliver notification emails
• If required by law or to protect the safety of our community

4. Direct Messages and Private Content

Direct messages between Practitioners are private and only visible to the sender and recipient. However, all content — including private messages — passes through our automated civility filter. Content flagged as potentially harmful may be reviewed by a Platform Administrator as part of our moderation process, in line with our Community Rules.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active. If you retake the Profiling assessment, your previous results are overwritten, not retained.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Access and update your profile information at any time through Settings
• Change your notification preferences in Settings
• Request a copy of your personal data, or request deletion of your account, by contacting us (see Section 8)

7. Children's Privacy

IKON Community™ is intended for professional and academic use by Practitioners holding a valid Practitioner ID. The Platform is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.
